This isn't a quick whodunit. This is an immersive story unfolding as you interact, build the case, name your suspect and accuse. Accusation is dramatic and satisfying when right or disappointing when wrong.
Hone your interrogation skills against characters who think, have excuses, point to each other, show emotion, get angry or clam up, crack under the right pressure of questions. Use the Lie Detector, pick locks, find fingerprints, break cipher codes. Each case can be solved without deep interrogation, but the Story is there for the immersion and it's truly satisfying experiencing them deflect or crack.
Ask a suspect in your own words and they respond in theirs. AI is an augmentation, it isn't the game. Every case is 100% solvable without it. But wow is it fun to have those in story conversations, real historical items written into the backstory. Have a conversation about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde while searching for tells.
